   'Local transport requires local decisions' says Sharon 22.04.08

Sharon spoke out in favour of the Government's transport policy today in Parliament. She used questions to Transport Ministers to highlight the importance of retaining a role for local authorities in making decisions over transport planning. Sharon has had experience of bus comapnies attempting to remove or restructure routes in the past and successfully fought to keep services for local residents who could otherwise have been cut off from local transport services.
