The Britain Against Cancer Conference 2009 hosted by the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Cancer was held in Westminster, and included talks from Andy Burnham MP, the Health Secretary, as well as various specialists from cancer charities such as Macmillan.

Sharon was particularly interested in the conference given her support of various cancer-related issues in Parliament, and was impressed with the report published by the All-Party Parliamentary Group into inequalities in cancer treatment.
