Sharon met with
Sunderland footballing legend Marco Gabbiadini in Parliament after
a group victory in a match against a team of
MPs.
Marco
and representatives of Inspire2Independence were in Parliament to
promote the work they are doing nationally in providing training,
qualifications and skills to unemployed people.
The company is specifically interested in using
football to get 5,000 people out of work by 2012, and Sharon
praised their work saying:
“It was great to meet such a local hero who is
using his talents to help the unemployed and people who may have
had fewer chances in life. Local projects play such an
important role in motivating and training individuals to make them
ready for employment. I wish Inspire2Independence all the
best in their innovative work.”
