Sharon Hodgson MP joined local Labour Councillors and party activists in Lambton Village in Washington, once again braving the cold weather to leaflet and collect signatures for Labour's "Drop the Bill" petition campaign, asking this current Tory-led Government to drop Andrew Lansley's Health and Social care Bill, because of damgage that it will do to the HNS as we know it. This Tory Bill is supported by their coalition-government partners the Lib Dems.

If the petition receives more than 100,00 signatures, it will be debated further in the House of Commons chamber. This is not a spoof site, it is a legitimate HM Government portal.
Please note, once you have signed the e-petition, you will receive an e-mail asking you to confirm your participation. If you haven't received any such response soon, check your spam mail folder. We have heard some reports of this happeneing. It must depend upon your service provider's spam settings.
