Sharon was invited to Durham University Labour Club to speak about all-women shortlists and take questions from members. She was delighted to be able to present the case for all-women shortlists, the use of which in Gateshead East and Washington West has meant that in Tyne and Wear there is currently at least one female MP.  There will of course be more at the next election, again due the all-women shortlists.

It was a great opportunity to meet and chat to students interested in representative politics, and she is looking forward to seeing how their political careers progress.
