Sharon visits the Treehouse School - 19.06.08

Sharon was very impressed by what she saw in the classrooms and the playground at TreeHouse.

Sharon with Ian Wylie at Treehouse in LondonAfter the tour Sharon met Chief Executive, Ian Wylie, two TreeHouse parents and members of the Parent Support Project, and the Policy and Parliamentary Team.

She spoke about her private members Bill on Special Educational Needs (Information).

The aim of the Bill is to ensure that information is publicly available and would enable Government, local authorities, and parents to have a better idea of educational provision and progress for children with SEN across the country.

TreeHouse has been supporting the passage of the Bill through parliament, which is currently on its second reading in the House of Lords and is likely to be made a law by the end of the year.

Sharon looks forward to working with Treehouse in the future!
