On an Opposition Day in the Commons, Sharon spoke on the floor of the chamber to hit out at the Government’s plans to abolish One North East. She spoke about the role played by ONE in supporting the low carbon vehicle industry across Washington and Sunderland and questioned whether the cuts were really necessary, arguing that removing the support which One North East provides to local businesses would put jobs at risk.
