Sharon was at the launch of Inspire 2 Independence Coaching Academy Sunderland with Niall Quinn.

Run by Marco Gabiadini, Head of Sports Based Learning, the academy is based at the Stadium of Light, and uses football to inspire and train unemployed people and give them the skills they need for employment, aiming to get 5000 people into work by 2012.

Sharon was delighted to hear about all the good work that is going on there, and looks forward to hearing from all the people helped by the academy.
