   New Washington School opened by the Queen 06.11.09

Queen opens new Washington School UKThe brand new Washington School was opened today by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II during her visit to the region.

Pupils, staff, governors, Council officials and elected representatives gathered in the new hall and watched as the Queen unveiled a plaque to commemorate the official opening of Washington's newest school.

The school was built as part of the Labour Government's Building Schools for the Future programme.
