Sharon was delighted to be able to attend a lunchtime reception in Parliament to mark the fifth anniversary of The Sage Gateshead. The Sage has made an enormous difference to the lives of hundreds of people, particularly young people, in Gateshead and the North East. At the event were performances by a Northumbrian pipe player and a five piece female vocal ensemble. Lord Putnam, chairman of The Sage Gateshead spoke of his pride in the achievements made in the last five years. Sharon is very much looking forward to seeing how The Sage continues to benefit young people and Gateshead in the years to come.
