Sharon recently attended a meeting of the Sunderland and South Tyneside ME Support Group at the Bunny Hill Centre, where she heard a talk about the condition followed by a discussion with those who suffer from it. She was surprised to hear about how some do not consider the illness to be particularly serious, with even some Government advisers casting doubts over what can be an extremely debilitating condition. She was grateful for the opportunity to attend and will be looking forward to working more on this issue in the future.
