Sharon gave the keynote speech at the launch of the TUC’s ‘Recovery from Recession’ initiative at the Assembly Rooms in Newcastle last week. She spoke about how the Labour Government has done its bit to try and prevent redundancy during the recession, as well as the dangers of long term joblessness. The ‘Recovery from Recession’ initiative is designed to give training and support to trade unions in order to support their members if made redundant.
