New data from the NHS has shown that more people are waiting a month for a GP appointment than at any time since when records began in 2017.

1,988 people in Washington and Sunderland West faced a wait of 28 days or more to see a GP in October alone.

A further 5,503 people had to wait more than two weeks.

"It was great to hold a public meeting for Redhill and Castle residents alongside Kim McGuinness, the Northumbria Police and Crime Commissioner, Inspector Steve Prested, and our six Labour Councillors for these wards. Residents raised their concerns about speeding and antisocial behaviour in the area, with the police and Councillors agreeing to work on this together.  With the cost of living crisis and a widespread mental health crisis across the country, Northumbria Police have never been busier and it is so important that residents are able to talk to them about their concerns."  Sharon Hodgson MP

In another example of the merry-go-round that is Tory government these days, Rishi Sunak, after jumping ship as Chancellor three months ago and personally putting the last nail in the coffin of Boris Johnson’s stint as Prime Minister, has returned to Downing Street as the latest captain of the sleaze and scandal-ridden sinking ship that is this Tory government.

Tories are making life harder for people every day they are in office.

The kamikaze budget will have significant repercussions for household bills, budgets and the future of the country.
